Accelerated Reader Information
Accelerated Reader Information
Accelerated Reader is a computerized reading program where students in 2nd, and 3rd Grades read a book, then take a computerized test. Students earn points for each test successfully passed. Teachers set goals for students each nine week. Students must meet their point level goal, book level goal and have an average passing rate of at least 85% to be considered a "Star Reader" for the nine week period. These "Star Readers" will receive a certificate at the nine-weeks Awards Assembly.
If you have questions concerning Accelerated Reader please contact your child's teacher. This is the best way to find out information about the teachers expectations for each individual child.
