Pottsville High School has approximately 375 students. Pottsville High School is fully accredited by the State of Arkansas and is recognized state wide for exceptional programs in a comfortable yet challenging atmosphere.

The Senior Class of 2004 scored highest in the state on the Arkansas Literacy Test (schools testing at least 25 students)

The Senior Claass of 2011 also scored among the top five public schools in the state.

Pottsville High School provides 21st century technology for both faculty and students. In 2000 Pottsville High School was named one of "America's Top 100" technology in education schools.

A district wide computer network connects work stations throughout the school system and provides a link between campus resources and the world through the Internet. Every student has access to the network and all students and faculty are eligible for personal Internet accounts.

An EAST lab allows for advanced research in such cutting edge technologies as animation, computer aided drafting, web design, GIS, GPS, and many other 21st century programs.

The high school completed in 1998 features state of the art computer/business lab, a complete chemistry lab, modern facilities for computer research and distance learning, a cafetorium with seating for 500, and a new PT lab with materials for hands on physics instruction. A Distance Learning Lab allows students to take high school and college courses through compressed interactive video.

An addition completed in 2000 features an ultra modern fine arts center with facilities for vocal music, band, and art programs. The 2000 addition also includes labs for family and consumer science and a commons area. The new facility houses grades 9 - 12 in a beautiful rural setting with a spacious new gymnasium and modern academic facilities.

Another addition completed for the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year added a spacious new media center with a full computer lab. A multifunction science lab complete with a greenhouse and additional classrooms was also part of this expansion.
