Pre-Advanced Placement
What is Pre-Advanced Placement?
A Pre-Advanced Placement (Pre-AP) course is a junior high or high school level course that specifically prepares students to enroll and to participate in an Advanced Placement (AP) course. Pre-AP courses are more challenging and stimulating, and they take more time and require more work. By taking Pre-AP courses, students are provided more opportunities for gaining advanced academic skills and increased self-confidence in preparation for college. Pottsville School District offers Pre-AP courses in the four core areas of Science, Math, English, and Social Studies as well as in Art. Click here for course descriptions.
